Part Time Receptionist (Two posts)

Do you have a pleasant telephone manner; enjoy working with the public and being part of a team? If so you could be the person we are looking for to join our friendly, busy, rural General Practice.

We have 2 Receptionist vacancies:

Post 1:

15.5 hours per week worked over 2 days.

The hours are to be worked in the following shifts;

Thursday 1.00pm-6.30pm
Friday 8.00am-6.30pm (with a 30 minute unpaid break)

Post 2:

16.5 hours per week worked over 3 days.

The hours are to be worked in the following shifts;

Tuesday 1.00pm-6.30pm
Thursday 8.00am-1.30pm
Friday 1.00pm-6.30pm

One evening each week we are open until 7.30pm which reception staff cover on a shared rota basis.

Reception staff are expected to be flexible and to undertake some overtime to cover colleagues’ absences.

Flexibility to help cover staff holidays is essential for the role.

Experience would be ideal but is not essential as training will be given.

Care Co Ordinator

We are looking for a Care Coordinator who will be responsible to Winchester Rural North and East Primary Care Network, based full-time within Alresford Surgery.

What’s a Care Coordinator?

A Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and service users, providing an in-depth knowledge of practice and local community services.
We are seeking a Care Coordinator at Alresford who can provide support & lead our reception team.

The Care Coordinator will understand the options available to patients and work with the clinical team to determine appropriate pathways for patients.
This may involve liaison with external organisations to understand their referral criteria and what patients can expect.

What skills do I need?

Confidence in, and experience of dealing with the public

High level of empathy and excellent communication skills

IT literacy, the ability to learn new systems and support others in how to use them

Experience in providing training and support to others

The ideal candidate would have experience of working in a GP surgery and knowledge of local services, although this is not essential.

Medical Secretary and Administrator

We are looking for a part-time Medical secretary and Administrator.
Audio typing essential and knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage although training can be given.
We would like to appoint a medical secretary and administrator to work 21.5 hours per week across Wednesday – Friday.

The ideal hours being Wednesday 12.00-5.30, Thursday 9.00-5.00 (with a half an hour unpaid break.) & Friday 8.30-5.30 (with a half an hour unpaid break.) some flexibility maybe considered for the right candidate.
