Part time Receptionist vacancy

Do you have a pleasant telephone manner; enjoy working with the public and being part of a team?

If so you could be the person we are looking for to join our friendly, busy, rural General Practice. We have 2 posts available of 16.5 hours per week over 3 days.

The hours are to be worked in shifts which will be;

Role 1:
Monday 8.00-1.30pm
Wednesday 1.00-6.30pm
Friday 8.00-1.30pm.

Role 2:
Monday 1-6.30pm
Thursday 8.00-1.30pm
Friday: 1.00-6.30pm

One evening each week we are open until 7.30pm which reception staff cover on a shared rota basis.

Reception staff are expected to be flexible and to undertake some overtime to cover colleagues’ absences.

Flexibility to help cover staff holidays is essential for the role.

Experience would be ideal but is not essential as training will be given.

Closing date: Sunday 12th September.

Practice Care Co-ordinator

We are looking for a Care Coordinator who will be responsible to Winchester Rural North and East Primary Care Network, based full-time within Alresford Surgery.

What’s a Care Coordinator?

A Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and service users, providing an in-depth knowledge of practice and local community services.
We are seeking a Care Coordinator at Alresford who can provide support & lead our reception team.

The Care Coordinator will understand the options available to patients and work with the clinical team to determine appropriate pathways for patients.
This may involve liaison with external organisations to understand their referral criteria and what patients can expect.

What skills do I need?

Confidence in, and experience of dealing with the public
High level of empathy and excellent communication skills
IT literacy, the ability to learn new systems and support others in how to use them
Experience in providing training and support to others

The ideal candidate would have experience of working in a GP surgery and knowledge of local services but this is not essential.

Alresford Surgery – 5 Session Salaried GP

The Alresford Surgery is located in the small rural town of Alresford in the heart of the Hampshire countryside and on the edge of the South Downs National Park. This popular, friendly and successful practice is looking to recruit a 5 session Salaried GP (to include all-day Friday), potentially with an option of increasing to 6 sessions in June 2022.
The successful individual will expand the clinical team already in place.
