Travel Clinic

luggage_tagsImmunisations and advice are available through our Travel Service. Please collect a form from reception, or follow the link below to complete the form online, and then make an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses (we do have limited availability on some Saturday mornings) The form should be returned to the surgery prior to your appointment . At your appointment the nurse will discuss all your travel arrangements including which countries and areas within countries you are planning to visit and she will determine which vaccinations are required. You should allow 8 weeks to enable vaccination courses to be completed. There may be a charge for certain vaccines.

Please scroll down to the bottom of this page to view & complete the online Travel Health Questionnaire.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America South America
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 8 weeks before you travel - as in some cases a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to complete a course of vaccinations. Some vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. Our charges are as follows:

Payment for the course of treatment is required before the first vaccination is given.

Hepatitis B (Engerex) £27.00 per dose

Hepatitis B – paediatric £25.00 per dose

Hepatitis A (Havrix) NHS payment £40 fee for non-NHS patient

Hepatitis A & B NHS payment £45 for non-NHS patient

Hepatitis A/typhoid NHS payment £45 for non-NHS patient
